Oud Muattar
Wood cured in oils and attar until it darkens and glistens. Sweeter smoke, softer edges.
Agarwood laid down with oils and attar and left until it takes the scent all the way through. You can see it: the pieces darken and pick up a shine that raw chips do not have.
The smoke is rounder and sweeter than plain wood, which is why it is the one people reach for at weddings and on the first day of Eid.
Every batch is cured differently, so smell the one in the branch rather than assuming it matches the last.
